The Mission of the Republican Majority Campaign PAC

The Republican Majority Campaign Political Action Committee (RMCPAC) is dedicated to restoring the Republican majority in Congress in 2010 by advancing the prinicples of Limited Governemnt, Individual Liberties, Free Market Enterprise, Traditional Family Values and Strong National Defense (LIFTS).

We will do this by promting LIFTS while holding the Democrats and President Obama accountable for the disastrous policies they have pursued. If President Obama and the Democrat Congress follow through with what they have newly promised, the results will be disastrous for our country.

Starting from scratch in January of 2008, the Republican Majority Campaign raised over $4.0 million and spent over $3,850,000 in independent expenditures in the Presidential race and in direct contributions to Republican candidates for Congress.

This means we devoted 90 percent of every dollar raised to influencing elections. By using electronic mail, traditional direct mail, telephone contact, newspaper advertising, television advertising and this website, we carried our message to millions of voters throughout America. Clearly, the collective effort of all Republican groups was not enough to prevent the Democrats from gaining complete control of the the Executive and Legislative branches of government and we must do a lot more if we are to regain control of Congress in 2010.

As a federally authorized political action committee, we were in a position to help the Presidential campaign of Senator John McCain close the huge gap between his publicly financed campaign which received $84 million and the Obama campaign that spent triple that amount winning the election. Once Senator McCain opted to accept public financing, he was not allowed to continue to raise money from his supporters for his campaign. This put all Republicans at a distinct disadvantage.

The Repubican Majority Campaign is a political organization registered with the Federal Election Committee with ID # 00442319 under Internal Revenue Code section 527, which section dictates that all registered political action committees are non-profits.
